Synopsis

A family drama in which the characters' personal tragedy becomes a metaphor for a historical and political rift. Masha, 40, is a single mother living in Moscow and dependent for years on her relationship with a famous actor. Anya, 36, is happily married to Vadim, a military man, and raising a son in Odessa. On February 22, 2022, Vadim urgently sends Anya and their child to Moscow, ostensibly for their grandmother's birthday. A special military operation begins the next day. Sisters, long separated, are forced to live under the same roof. Tensions are mounting… The heroines will have to show all their strength to save their loved ones and family.

Synopsis
Two sisters, Masha and Anya, are separated by lives in different countries: Masha lives in Moscow, hosts a cooking show, supports her family (her mother, Lyubov Pavlovna, and her son), and is in a complicated relationship with actor Roman Noskov. Anya lives in Odessa with her husband, Vadim (an SBU colonel), and their son. On February 23, Vadim hastily sends Anya and their child to Moscow, ostensibly for her grandmother's anniversary. The events of the SVO begin the next day.

Anya tries to learn something about Vadim's fate, but to no avail. Masha tries to support her sister, but their views on what's happening are increasingly diverging. Roman Noskov pressures Masha, demanding a clear position. Lyubov Pavlovna, Masha's mother, tries to smooth things over, but her words only highlight the gulf between the sisters. Anya accidentally finds documents in Vadim's belongings that hint at his secret mission.

Synopsis

Synopsis

A crisis is brewing in the family: Anya feels like a prisoner, Masha like a hostage to circumstances. Lyubov Pavlovna, realizing that her daughters are on the verge of a breakup, tells them the truth about her past—how she once lost contact with her own sister because of ideology.

Synopsis

Through SBU channels, they learn that Vadim is alive, but in a war zone. The sisters decide: until they know his fate for sure, they will stick together.
