Synopsis
Kuryu Kohei is a newcomer prosecutor from Aomori of the Tokyo Prosecutor's Office. Upon his transfer, he is immediately put in charge of a corruption case involving a congressman and an underwear theft. His new colleagues do not seem to put their trust in him because of his nonchalant attitude. A rumor seems to be going around the office involving Amamiya, Chief, and Egami.

Synopsis
Amamiya and Egami drink at a bar while talking about relationships. They encounter a couple fighting over something. Drunk Amamiya confronts the couple and Kuryu who is nearby walks over to stop her from interfering with the man who is holding a knife. The man ends up wounding the woman on her wrist. The woman then sues the man for criminal injury. Meantime, the story unfolds as Kuryu and Amamiya discover that the woman is actually involved in a marriage fraud.

The president of a loan shark ring, Mr. Otagawa, is then arrested by the chief police after Yasuda admits that he is only following orders to turn himself in. How can Kuryu prove that Mr. Otagawa is responsible for the murder and not Yasuda?
